ohigan

At the equinoctial week, we visit the family graveyard, clean the place, offer  flowers, burn incense and pray. Ancestors spirits come back.

At home, I cooked INARIZUSHI  and BOTAMOCHI.
(BOTAMOCHI  we usually call this ohagi, but , in spring time, this is botakochi......named by  BOTAN 牡丹 flower,(spring time flower)  in autumn, OHAGI、named by hagi 萩 flower(autumn time flower.)

These are the foods of ohigan.

O- SEKIHAN for graduation day

Because of the terrible disaster, my younger son's graduation ceremony was held on very smaller size.  One person for every  each department could attend,
we watched the ceremony from our home, through internet. Univ decided this.

I cooked O-SEKIHAN , for him.
We cook this rice  at the happy occasion, especially at the  happy ceremonial  time of  life.

The leaf on osekihan is  Nanten (南天).
Nanten  leaf means NAN 難 (difficulty) , TEN 転 (change) .

I hope this difficult time changes  as soon as possible.
