You will surprised at the price.
I haven't bought matcha cheaper than 1000yen per 30g.
1500yen per 20g, it is good, but there are more expensive one.
For koicha, (matcha paste), People use better one.
I know only two cafe you can try 'koicha' , in tokyo.
Ginza, next to Almani shop, you can try . 'cha ginza cafe'
For one person 500 yen, koicha and usucha and sweets) , it is special service for guest. (sometimes 700yen, but at that time, they use their best tea)
(As this cafe is run by tea shop, people usually want to buy good tea when they come back.).
You can try koicha at 'ippodo' at marunouchi as well, in front of tokyo station, (there are in kyoto as well) it cost more thsn 1500yen for one drink.
Last week, I bought a cheap can of matcha. 50g 950yen , fuji no haru.
This is my first time to try .
It was bitter. This can is sold at Paris.
Now I understand, they use matcha like cocoa, with suger.
It is easy to make.
For matcha cake, for matcha icecream, we can buy cheaper one at grocery shop.

Yes, let's go to 'cha ginza'.
2nd floor , you can taste koicha and usucha, 1st floor you can taste good sencha.
Even though you want to have an experience of tea ceremony which include koicha style , it is difficult to find that which can attend.
But if you want to go, I know the place on March in kawasaki, and June in Tokyo.(I have two connection).
