I went to kagawa pref.

Famous for 'UDON'
and Tokushima pref.

Naruto　strait,  original naming place of Naruto. There arearound 1.5m  hights difference between pacific sea and setonaikai, so the big sea whirlpools.You can go closer by riding on small boat.
The shape of whirlpools became 'naruto'

Risturinkouen is a beautiful big  garden with many pine trees, etc...each tree is shaped bonsai style.

You can see  heart style shape azarea tree in the middle of the pond. So, you can  often see several couples take photoes wearing Japanease traditional kimonos.

Konpira san is the most famous  shrine in Japan  for god of marine.

This place is known about long long steps.(785steps to the main shrine, 1368 steps to the innner shrine.)

matcha chiffon cake

I baked matcha chiffon cake.
I used 'fuji no haru'.

It was so so..It lost tea flavor..
??? Should I use  more matcha for  flavor ?? It would be greener...Too green, I feel.

And, I should mix 'AMA NATTO' ( sweet red beans)  or maron, in it. It would be better , if I use that.


I like another flavor chiffon cake, like lemon, tea, banana etc...

lotus flower 'hasu'

These are photos of lotus flowers. This is important flower for buddhism.

I think you can see this flower  at Tsurugaoka hachiman at Kamakura in August for example.
(Sometimes you can find  on  a little big pond in front of temple or shrine.)
This blooms in the  summer morning.  Pink and white.

Inside this flower , there is round fruit.

When you see statues of budda, kannon, etc, you can find they stand on this flower　fruit.s.

Left bosatsu style is a little different from usual one.
Usually he stands on one flower.

It is said  Bosatsu comes to take us to heaven, so, bosatsu  can walk.
So, this bosatsu stands on two lotus flowers.
